October 4, 2020 – A message from PETA

Please join Frisco’s Pet Project, Stop Frisco Animal Mill Sales, and local activists in urging people to adopt companion animals rather than buying them from breeders or pet stores.

Help expose the cruelty behind pet stores—some of which receive animals from puppy mills, where it’s standard practice to keep animals in cramped, crude, and filthy conditions without proper veterinary care or socialization. Puppy mill breeders treat mother dogs like breeding machines, and when they can no longer produce puppies, they are auctioned off or killed.

Despite stronger Frisco Animal Ordinances for retail stores that sell small companion animals, Petland Frisco is still selling mill pups and kittens from catteries to Frisco consumers. Since the passing of the ordinance in January 2020, at least four individuals have filed reports with Frisco Animal Services. Little action, if any, has been taken.

Come and learn more this Sunday, October, 4th anytime from 11:30am to 3:00pm at the South Frisco Village.

Our thanks to PETA and locals Lisa Taylor and Rebecca Whitehouse for coordinating this event.
